The crape myrtles are in bloom across Baton Rouge. This one is at the Botanic Gardens, which has a lovely crape myrtle garden. Crape myrtles are native to China and eastern India - I didn't know that until today.

So pretty. I love spring time - everything comes alive, all the flowers bloom in every corner of the street - it's so romantic and a nice change from the cold grey winter.
