This may not seem like an exciting photo, but it was very exciting late yesterday afternoon when a thunderstorm broke the monotony of the heat wave. I'm still mastering the art of photographing the rain, so the best photo I could manage was one of a raindrop-splattered patio.

I like it - I can almost smell the rain. Bet it was a nice reprieve from the extreme heat.
Do send us some! I can understand you wanting to photograph rain following extended heat.
we dont have rain anymore.... after a dry spell god has given us a looooot....
We are waiting for summer to really hit our city but it seems unlikely. We just had a whole day of rain. :(
