From The Botanical Garden

"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it." - John Lennon

For the next few days I will be featuring photos from the Botanical Garden in Baton Rouge, which is maintained chiefly by volunteer gardeners. This is a rose climbing up one of the gazebos at the garden.

I think that the meaning of love is beautifully expressed in this photo. It is looking upward, the plant flowering before our beautiful eyes with the backdrop of the sky in all of its infinity and boudlessness.
